AIMS
& OBJECTIVES
- To
provide our community client group with entry to advanced
level of computing competence
- To
maintain a turnover of candidates suitable for higher education
- To
train and support candidates in a wide range of applications
such as Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Databases
- Increase
candidates' confidence
- Issue
relevant certificates for courses taken.
CONTENT
We are currently able to deliver training from nationally recognised
bodies such as City & Guilds and NVQ. Over the coming year
we hope to expand this to other recognised bodies.
With City & Guilds 7261 training modules such as Spreadsheets,
Databases, Word Processing ranging from level 1 to level 3,
candidates have variety of options on which to base their training.
Secured Internet Access is also available from all state of
art computers, there will be no hold-ups on finding and retrieving
relevant data from the World Wide Web.
Candidates are able to concentrate on 'hands-on' exercises,
familiarising themselves with software packages like Microsoft
Office, operating systems like Windows Millenium Edition as
well as completing agreed programmes.
ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION
We have state of the art facilities to cater for a number of
students. On the first floor we can house in a single room,
up to 30 students with access to their own networked computer.
Candidates from all sections of the community are welcome to
take part in this exciting time and first to achieve certificates
which will undoubtedly spurn them onto better jobs and prepare
them for the future.
